With a wide variety of facial fillers available in today’s market, the process of choosing one for a procedure can be daunting for potential clients. Those that are exploring facial filler solutions for the first time may have a particularly difficult time understanding their transformative effect. Until now, all we had to rely on were before and after pictures. Photos of patients of all ages, complexions, and ethnicities, however, still may not be convincing enough for the more skeptical shoppers.
Thanks to smartphone technology and innovative apps, we now have a new way to grab the attention of clients who want a true preview of what their face can look like after facial procedures. Clients that were previously uncertain about whether or not to go through with a facial filler treatment will be now able to view real-time results thanks to Allergan Canada and ModiFace. The partnership with the app development company allowed Allergan Canada to create a live facial rejuvenation and enhancement mirror app. Clients can view real-time video in full 3D using smartphone camera technology for a vivid modeling of what their appearance could be with treatments.
Patricia De Simone, international strategic marketing manager at Allergan, adds “the virtual mirror app tracks facial features, including wrinkles, folds and loss of fullness, and performs a life-like 3D-simulation of clinically calibrated facial enhancements.” This app has the potential to revolutionize how consumers can learn about treatment options and results.
The Juvederm Virtual Mirror app will be released in June 2016 and is currently available for previewing in the iTunes store. In an age where there seems to be an app for everything, Acara Partners is confident that app development will be pursued by more industry players in a direct appeal to the increasingly universal smartphone user population.
